It's finally going on ... believe it or not

My Hawaii blog has been dormant since September 2020. After a rather half-hearted and, above all, very short-term approach to getting another Hawaii trip off the ground last fall, I almost didn't believe it myself. You probably didn't either, because far too much has happened since then. The world is no longer the same and you've probably thought more than once in the last few years that everything was on the brink of collapse - just like me. But look at us! We are still here and we have adapted to many new circumstances. That's how people are.

I thought some of you might be interested to know that I will soon be returning to Hawai'i, O'ahu to be precise. I am returning to a place that I have missed almost permanently since our first visit. That place and, above all, the dear friends I made there. This time it will be different, because a lot of things are no longer new and I know roughly how everything works there. Nevertheless, I've been wondering for some time how the last few years and all the things that have happened around the world in the meantime have affected everything there. Accordingly, I feel a certain inner skepticism and uncertainty. Anyone who has read my blog or knows me personally knows that the topic of Hawai'i has a very emotional significance for me.

Once again, I looked for a nice place to stay outside Honolulu for my honey and me. Kane'ohe is the place of our choice and again our AirBnB is right on the water. The first contact with our host was already very warm and promising. It may sound strange when I say that I'm really looking forward to meeting the people there, because I remember their warmth just too well. 💖

Of course, I've already thought about a few things I'd like to do and see this time too. We definitely didn't have enough time last time and our stay probably won't be long enough this time either. But well, it will definitely be another step in a concrete direction.

And this time, too, I will fill my blog with more adventures, experiences, impressions, photos, videos and reports. Perhaps not necessarily on a daily basis. I don't know exactly yet, but we'll see how everything turns out.

Well, the flights, accommodation and rental car are booked, the visas have been applied for and so we're off (again) in 60 days. So, see you around.

Aloha! 🤙🏼
